Principal's Message 8/28/26

Dear Nederland Panthers,

I hope you are enjoying a good start to the school year.  As I walk around the school, I’m impressed with what I see.  Teachers are providing rigorous learning, students are earning strong grades, older students are stepping up and being leaders with younger students, and coaches are helping to provide kids with great opportunities (right now, more than 60% of our students are participating in a fall sport!).

If you haven’t already, now is a great time to check your student’s grades in Infinite Campus.  Any struggling grades right now are relatively easy to “fix”, given that we’re so early in the semester.  But the more time that passes, the harder it becomes to fix those grades.  Parents and guardians - you can help at home by making sure you monitor your student’s progress, and if your kid is struggling, generating a plan with them.  Families - please be on the lookout for a weekly grade update from your students!  They should be sending this email once per week with their study hall and advisory teachers.

Finally, I want to say that next week is a big week for high school sports.  Volleyball and Soccer have their first home games next week, and admission is free.  Stay after school to cheer on your Panthers to victory!

Game times are below:

Monday 8/31

Boys’ V Soccer @ 4 pm vs. Campion

Girls’ JV Volleyball @ 4:30 pm vs. Ascent NoCo

Girls’ V Volleyball @ 5:30 pm vs. Ascent NoCo
